This brief was was supplied by Imram, the Irish Language Literary Festival. The brief asked me to pick from the given Irish poems and create a short video on your interpretation. The main line of my chosen poem which influenced my interpretation was 'Arms wide open, catching nothing'. This to me painted the picture of a lonely scarecrow searching for connection, perhaps in the form of a hug as he holds his arms wide open. The completed animation portrays the loneliness of the scarecrow as a bird comes just close to contact, only to keep flying right by.
